Spend a Summer Day with the Harold and Inge Marcus Department of Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering (IME) on July 27 and 29! The IME program at Penn State is consistently ranked as one of the top programs in the United States, as reported by U.S. News and World Report.

We accomplish this through a base of mathematics, physical, and engineering sciences, along with hands-on laboratory and industrial experiences that prepare students for a variety of career paths. Industrial engineers from Penn State have established successful careers in financial services, communications, information technology, transportation, health care, consulting, and academia.

Students can explore industrial engineering outside the classroom and connect with experts through several professional societies.

Students have access to speakers, career fairs, plant tours, conferences, competitions, professional contacts, leadership opportunities, and social events.
