Industrial engineering student mentoring program at Penn State

Mentoring Program

Mission

The mission of the Industrial Engineering Mentoring Program is to facilitate the development of industrial engineering students by providing those students with guidance, counsel, and networking opportunities.

Overview

The Harold and Inge Marcus Department of Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering (IME) and the Penn State Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering Society (PSIMES) jointly sponsor the Industrial Engineering Mentoring Program. The program provides students with opportunities to interact with industrial engineering alumni on a one-on-one basis and to receive advice and recommendations related to the academic and professional development of the student.

The mentoring program is administered by the PSIMES Mentoring Board's Mentoring Committee. The Mentoring Committee is responsible for facilitating the registration and matching process for students and mentors. Additionally, the mentoring board is available to help resolve any communication issues between students and their mentors, if needed.

Getting Started

Alumni or students interested in getting involved with the PSIMES Mentoring Program should begin by completing the registration form under the respective tabs.
