Industrial engineering moves up to eighth in graduate program rankings

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The industrial engineering (IE) graduate program at Penn State is ranked eighth in the latest annual U.S. News & World Report “Best Graduate Schools” rankings, released on March 14.

The 2018 edition shows that the IE program moved up four slots from last year amongst its counterparts at other national universities. 

According to U.S. News & World Report, the data for the annual graduate school rankings come from statistical surveys of more than 1,970 programs and from reputation surveys sent to more than 16,500 academics and professionals, conducted in fall 2016 and early 2017.
